TBL supports initiative aims at boosting agriculture innovations

THE East Africa (EA) Innovation Event is scheduled to take place on May 10 this year at Mlimani City Hall, Dar es Salaam focusing on innovation, technology and agriculture.
AB InBev Africa brings the event in collaboration with the Tanzania Breweries Limited, the Procurement team under the SmartBarley umbrella and the Solutions Africa Innovation team, as part of their global Hack the World series of innovation events.
Hack The World is AB InBev’s commitment to connecting with the most talented minds across the globe and is supported by Vodacom Tanzania with the support of Bits & Bytes Technology Convention.

The event also brings together over 100 participants ranging from agriculture experts, innovators, engineers, and farming communities with the intention of building awareness and finding innovative solutions in agriculture that can be utilised by smallholder farmers to increase their yield.
Speaking about the event, AB InBev’s East Africa Business Unit President Roberto Jarrin said, “Innovation through technology and process optimisation in our agriculture communities is key in improving the yield.
“We believe this event, and the subsequent solution implementation will support our small holder farmers to operate and grow in a sustainable way,” he said.
